School Interpreting Series
To support the specialized skills development of future school interpreters, the Preparing School Interpreters (PSI) Project (H325K210024) funded the design and development of the School Interpreting Series, which included content and activities that support the acquisition of interpreting skills within the U.S. public school system. The curriculum of the School Interpreting Series was built on the knowledge, skills, and attitudes taught in the Interpreting Skills Series to tailor the professional practice of Scholars pursuing employment in schools.
Developmental Process & Team
The development of the School Interpreting Skills Series used the ADDIE Model and a centralized design approach.
The School Interpreting Series curriculum development team included:
Dr. Emily Girardin, Ed.D., served as the PSI Project Director, overseeing curriculum and serving as a subject matter expert.
Kelli Stein, M.Ed., served as a subject matter expert, providing initial curriculum development.
Amy Kroll, M.S., served as the Instructional Coordinator, providing ongoing curriculum development and maintenance.
Angela O'Bleness, M.Ed., served as a subject matter expert, providing initial curriculum development.
