Centralized Design
The School Interpreting Series used a centralized design approach. The PSI Project School Interpreting Series curriculum team oversaw the creation and management of the curricula and instructional materials.
Central design principles were applied to scaffold content, materials, activities, assignments, rubrics, the School Interpreting Website (the capstone project), and post-graduation bridge activities to support the learning standards and professional philosophies outlined by the School Interpreting Series Competencies both during and after the School Interpreting Series.
The use of centralized design ensured continuity to the curriculum within the School Interpreting Series, which supported Scholar learning as well as process evaluation and the intentions for outcome evaluation.
Amy Kroll, the School Interpreting Series Instructional Coordinator and Curriculum Developer, was a critical leader, provided important oversight, and partnered with Dr. Emily Girardin in the centralized design process.
